Salama Africa and Artolution Complete Community Mural in Dzaleka Refugee Camp
Salama Africa and Artolution have completed a community mural in Dzaleka Refugee Camp through Artolution's Training of Trainers programme, supported by HOME Storytellers.

Salama Africa and Artolution have completed what organizers describe as a major community mural in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
The mural was created through Artolution’s Training of Trainers programme hosted at Salama Africa’s youth and arts center in Dzaleka, with support from HOME Storytellers.
According to Salama Africa Executive Director Prince Lokendo, the artwork was shaped by in-depth discussions with community members and reflects core themes of hope, protection, unity, and solidarity.
Trainers, programme participants, and community members worked collaboratively on the wall painting, using visual art to express shared experiences, stories, and aspirations of people living in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
Prince Lokendo expressed gratitude to Artolution, HOME Storytellers, the trainer facilitators, and all community participants who contributed to bringing the mural to life. The project represents an ongoing commitment to supporting youth empowerment, creative expression, and community storytelling across the camp.
