Primo Luanda Bauma is a Congolese photographer and filmmaker living in Dzaleka, who fled the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He leads the photography team for the Dzaleka Art Project and has contributed photographs used across the project, including portraits of other camp artists.
Teaching
Bauma runs free photography classes in the camp. By his account, he began the classes to give young people something to do, a means of artistic expression, and training that could help them earn an income.
