About Dzaleka Home Based Care
Dzaleka HOME BASED CARE (HBC) is a Registered Community Based Organization since February, 2016. This organization supports people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases such as Tuberculosis, Cancer, Asthma, Sickle cell, diabetes, and Stroke through psychosocial, mental health, palliative, clinical and nursing care. It also provide Educational and social Support to children orphaned by AIDS.
The organization was recognized by the DOWA DISTRICT Council in 2019 under the registration number MKA 024.

We provide Counseling to refugees in their homes. We Home visit our patients especially those in bedridden, we refer patients to hospitals. We provide training to our patients, families and community members.
Challenge
lack funding, limited resources in providing trainings to our new staff and building capacity.

We collaborate with other local organizations, NGOs, health facilities and government to support our mission.
