About Me

My name is Baraka Venus. I’m Rwandese by nationality. I started photography in 2020 when I was studying my secondary education. I met up with a friend who was a photographer, and he taught me everything I know in photography.

Before starting photography, I was depending totally on my parents. As refugees, they couldn’t afford to provide everything for me. But now through photography I earn money and I no longer depend on my parents. Despite that, I don’t have a camera. When I have work, I hire a camera from my fellow photographers. Also, I don’t have a working place or a photo studio. I only have a laptop and software.

My vision is to help other youths by teaching them photography without them paying any money. I advise youths to follow their passions and not waste time because time is precious.
