Jacqueline has been living in the Dzaleka refugee camp in Malawi since 2012. She came with her husband to seek asylum due to war in her home country of Rwanda.

Artistic Journey

She started doing crafts from the age of 22. She does crafts alongside her husband, Paulin Engambee, who does drawing and painting.

Dzaleka Art Project

Jacqueline is one of the visual artists participating in the Dzaleka Art Project, which supports and promotes artistic expression within the refugee camp community.

Artistic Community

As a member of this vibrant artistic community, Jacqueline contributes to the rich cultural landscape of Dzaleka through traditional crafts and artisanal work.
