About Community for Better Life
Community for Better Life is a community-based organization located in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Malawi. Our mission is to implement both theoretical and practical activities that create a sustainable future for refugees and host communities.
Mission
- To promote self-reliance among youth and women by providing equal participation in training programs that offer life-changing opportunities.
- To design and implement developmental and livelihood programs aimed at alleviating environmental degradation, climate change risks, and poverty, ensuring holistic development and transformative change for a sustainable future.
Vision
- To empower youth and women from both refugee and host communities to discover their potential, become self-sufficient, and create opportunities for others to learn, practice, and develop job opportunities in a poverty-free environment.
- To help communities recover from anthropogenic activities that contribute to climate change and environmental degradation.
Our programs focus on:
- Entrepreneurship and product manufacturing
- Digital skills (computer skills and digital marketing)
- Language training
- Menstrual hygiene (information sessions and reusable pad making)
- Youth-based research on the economic and education sectors
- Environmentally focused activities (organizing online and on-site climate change sessions)
