About Dzaleka Blood Donors Services

Dzaleka Blood Donors Services is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 by Steve Mwamba with fellow Dzaleka refugees to curb the acute blood shortage in sickle cell and anemic patients whether a refugee or host community members, free of charge. Members Join voluntarily, they undergo monthly- checkups and are subjected to the rules and regulations of the organization, and lead a healthy lifestyle to ensure their credibility to donate. They in turn benefit from incentives and anything of value given to them by the organization itself, well-wishers, and donors as a way of giving back to the community.

We are partners with UNHCR, and Malawi Government through Malawi Blood Transfusion Services
